On May 12th, as a Pre-Prom and Graduation Season reminder, the Chestertown, Horicon and Pottersville Fire Companies, along with North Warren EMS, New York State Troopers and Warren County Sheriff will work with the North Warren SADD chapter to provide a simulated DWI accident response scenario in the student parking lot.
The event, which will take place from 1:25 to 2:52 is intended to share what takes place at the scene of an accident, as well as consequences that follow. During the week of May 8th, all students in Grades 7-12 will be provided with an opt out form for parents who do not wish for their student to participate. It is our hope that all students will benefit from the important message of ”good choices and safe behavior.”
Prior to the outside presentation, Jeremy Coon of the Warren County Sheriff's department will be providing a 30 minute Power-Point presentation in the auditorium to all 7-12 students. Afterwards, all students will dismiss to the parking lot to the simulated DWI Response

SADD Sticker Campaign:
Also, in the morning there will be a group from North Warren SADD (Students against Drunk Driving) participants who will be going to the Chestertown's Stewart's Shop, and Crossroad's to place bright green stickers on beer containers that read:
“ It is illegal to purchase OR provide alcohol to a person under the age of 21”.
It is hoped that this will serve as a visible reminder to prevent sale and provision of alcohol to minors.
